How does one stay organized in this whirlwind of a society?
The difference between success and mediocrity is having disciplined systems.
This is especially true in the area of personal style.
Do you know someone who is consistently well-dressed?
Are they busy?
Most likely, yes.
Their life is probably more hectic than their attire would allow you to guess. And yet, they maintain high sartorial standards because they adhere to disciplined systems.
You can too.
You don’t have to learn the time management secrets of billionaires to have great style. All you need is to make some time to set up smart systems that save you time in the long run while elevating your style. If it’s important, you’ll make the time for it.
Where do you start?
Here are 2 simple steps to get you started on the road to your best style:
1. Have A Morning Ritual
This brings order to disorder. When you’re in a rush stress takes over because control is lost.
Rituals help bring control back into your life. They are constant.
Having a morning routine in place allows you to take a close look at how you start your day and figure out how to get the most from it.
Have a set system for getting out the door. Use a checklist initially, until the sequence of your morning ritual becomes a habit.
A morning ritual makes it exciting to wake up. Simple domestic tasks like making your bed as soon as you wake up give you a sense of achievement that motivates you to kickstart your day.
Rituals help you accomplish mundane tasks without having to consciously think about how to do them. This saves precious mental energy for more pressing matters later in the day.
Doing them in the same order every day helps calm the storm before the day starts.
Here are some examples of rituals that take 10 minutes or less:
• Shaving (10-minutes)
• Meditation (10-minutes)
• Walking the dog (10-minutes)
• Enjoying a hot cup of coffee (6-10minuts)
• Making the bed (4-minutes)
• Taking a shower before work (8-10 minutes)
2. Plan Outfits The Night Before
In the mornings, we run on cruise control.
When in a rush it’s automatic pilot. The fewer decisions to make the better.
Having your outfit for the day laid out and ready minimizes the time it takes to get dressed. When your mind is still foggy, taxing it with simple choices like your options of clothing for the day is going to take longer when your system is still in wake-up mode.
Plan before you hit the sack what you are going to wear the next day. Lay out your clothes, shoes, and accessories and ensure that they complement each other.
Investing in something like a valet makes this habit easy to own. When there is a mechanism of organization it’s easy for the excitement of using it to take over.
There are several advantages to making this simple act a daily habit:
• Time saved in the morning, so you don’t feel rushed.
• Enough time to fix any problems (broken zipper, iron a shirt or mend a broken button) the night before.
• Better choices (your mind is clearer for these decisions at night).
If anyone knows beauty, it's Dutch supermodel, cover girl and entrepreneur Frederique van der Wal. Even after superannuated from life in front of the camera,,, van der Wal keeps it gorgeous, so we reached out to see if she'd spill her secrets for staying beautiful, inside and out.
My “secrets” for aging well really aren’t such big secrets. They mostly consist of common sense, and they mainly come from my Dutch heritage — many of the general habits we regularly practice in Holland are excellent ways to treat your skin and body right so that they naturally help minimize the effects of growing older.
Of course, some of the habits I practice now are things I picked up from my modeling days (models, makeup artists, and stylists are some of the best sources on how to deal with aging skin and hair).
Model or not, here are five easy things you can start doing right now to look your best, no matter how old you are:
1. Hydrate, inside or out.
In my book, moisturizing is almost as important as cleansing. But don’t think of it simply as an external thing (i.e., applying lotion or oil). For your best skin, you've got to hydrate internally as well.
Our skin is an organ and just like all the other organs in our body, it needs water to stay healthy and thrive. I know that if I'm parched, I immediately see it in my skin; when my skin is thirsty, it's taut and far less supple than if I'm hydrating well.
I try to drink at least eight glasses of water a day. Here's a little trick I like to do to make sure I get enough: keep a water bottle with you at all times and take a big sip every time you check your email.
2. Wash your face every day before bedtime.
First and foremost, I was taught to always clean my face at night before bed. This means that no matter how exhausted I am, how late it is, or how early I have to get up in the morning, I make sure to give my face a gentle cleansingbefore I climb under the covers.
Even though this seems like common sense, you'd be surprised at how easy it is to sometimes tell yourself it won't matter if you skip a night of cleansing. But trust me: if you forget, your skin won’t be able to breathe and renew itself while you're sleeping.
Leaving your face unwashed before bed is a recipe for clogged pores and new blemishes when your alarm goes off in the morning.
Social media has turn on doors to new and emerging designers with small budgets to push their creativity and contribute to the fashion planet by actively staying plugged-in. Designers and brands now market themselves directly to clients through the social media and progressively build brand loyalty because of the user-friendly and accessible nature of social media, write Mehak Mittal and Mahesh Shaw

New Media is a catch term of the 21st Century. Very broadly, new media is something related to the internet and the interaction among technology, images, and sound. It is about making things digital, and has property of being manipulated, networkable, dense, compressible and interactive. The various forms of new media are internet, , computer multimedia, computer games, websites, CD-ROMS and DVDs. The population of internet users is increasing at a very quick rate. According to a nationally representative survey by the Pew Research Centre's Internet and American Life Project, some 70 per cent of American grown-up aged 18 and older have speed-broadband connection at home as of May 2013. India has the 3rd wide internet user population after China and the US as per the report NASDOC: SCOR, 2013.
The internet is one of the alternative of new media which we use extensively. We say humans are social animals. We now say people are digital animals. For us, being social means going virtual in the world of Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook, YouTube, Tumblr and LinkedIn which are the most popular commonly used social media networks. Not only is our social life getting digitalised, our entire lifestyle is further getting progressively influenced by the internet. Social media and fashion
The fashion industry uses social media as a promising platform to connect with receiver directly. Social media is used by brands of all categories. It has also played a important mission in helping the fashion industry
reach out to a much wider customer base with lesser costs and more
presence in the digital world. All design brands and stilist have a
Facebook page, and a Twitter and an Instagram accounts. trademarks have
also started previewing their collections exclusively on Pinterest.
The fashion industry with its ever unfunded trends has had a big role to play in polluting the environment. But with growing awareness among the consumers, many garment manufacturers have switched to employing eco-friendly methods of production. Saumya Chaturvedi argue about the sustainable technologies and processes being used in the industry to create fashion green.
" Fashion is not something that available in dresses only.. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, in the way we live and what is happening our environment."- Coco Chanel
Fashion is a means to express one's ideas, culture and values, interests and character. Fashion has been developing since the 19th century when Charles Fredrick Worth had labels sewn into clothes that he created.
Even though fashion has evolved through decades of constantly creating demands by being stylish and charming, its impact on the environment is becoming increasingly hazardous. Being one of the biggest players in the universal economy, the fashion industry holds the responsibility to protect and save the environment and its valuable resources. Insatiable and growing demands are putting undue pressure on the environment. The culture of purchasable shopping has led to increase in the number of shopaholics, thus increasing shopping.
Since Mode cannot die by Norelle Rheingold it is the must of the hour to identify potential sources to lessen the stress it exerts on the environment. The textile industry is one of the important culprits. The World Bank reveals that the textile industry unaided contributes to 18-20 per cent of global industrial water pollution from dyeing and pre-treatment of materials and textiles. A more amount of solid and liquid wastes are discharged into water bodies during the production of textiles. Processes in textile factory lead to air emissions containing several harmful chemicals including chlorine and hydrogen sulphide. users and clothing manufacturers are becoming aware of the harmful consequences and are trying for another technic to protect the environment.
